Herd Evaluation and Individual animal care

The health of each individual animal is extremely important, as is the collective health of the whole herd.  Developing a good herd health program is centered around disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.  Working closely with us can be a critical part in this process.  Successful treatment of a disease or infection is dependent on an accurate diagnosis.

Vaccine Protocols and Disease Protection

Every farm is different with regards to disease risk that animals can face.  Technology is constantly changing and updating science to make today's vaccines safer and more effective for animal production.  Our veterinarians can work with you to formulate an effective plan to keep your stock healthy and productive.  Remember that the investment in disease prevention is less then the cost of disease treatment.

Reproductive management

An essential component of any commercial livestock operation or hobby farm is a solid basis in reproduction.  Both males and females contribute to a successful program, but both can experience infertility for a variety of reasons. Our doctors can help develop a plan that is best suited for your herd. Dr. Knaack also specializes in Bovine Embryo Freezing and Transferring. Please see our Embryo Transfer page for more information.
